There is a rose garden in a nearby park. In it was this rose, dappled in colour, which reminded me of friend Richard’s art work. I emailed the photo of the rose, and it’s name, to
him. He emailed back, commenting on the the name. I thought he had a typo! I had to go back and check my photo of the name. I had not seen what I had seen! what I had photographed and emailed. I read what my mind assumed was ”Sentimental”, and it seems, I do this a lot. Assume, make assumptions. Read into things what I want. But I did laugh when I became the recipient of the word play, with help! And Richard doesn’t read my blog, so he’ll never know that I assumed he had made an error. What a ridiculous assumption.
