The Art Group at Seaforth Hall today, was watching as we do each week, the progress of this clam factory (seen through the rain here) that is encroaching on our glorious view. It seems so wrong to build anything commercial along the shore, but entire cities with lake fronts or harbours have so much construction blocking the views and the access to the water. Somehow it seems acceptable in a city and not on the coast, or else I’m just getting possessive of our shore. I sit in the hall with my back to this intrusion, and look out at the ocean, spotting a white Egret today. And the laughter of our little group over-rides everything else.
