Don’t worry, I’m not buying these…but what I want to know is how does anyone choose glasses without 3 other people they trust to give an opinion? I couldn’t clearly see myself, so Melissa took a photo. I love colour, but that’s not enough for picking out glasses. Three people are necessary as they’ll all contradict the other’s opinion and force me to make a decision by myself, so I can only blame myself later! I think I’ll put this task off till 2014…Oh, and I almost forgot to add…”here’s lookin’ at ya!” as I sign off my blog. There’s a season for everything, and the season has changed. It’s been two years, and I’ve appreciated your following during some really special life moments along the way…but all the babes are born for the while, New Zealanders have moved to Wolfville..life is settling and so am I….”see you around”…eastcoastbabs signing out…

It was a beautiful day today, so Daisy and I (Frank was at a woodworking demo) headed out to Lawrencetown Beach from home…for a long walk that the weather just screamed for!!
It was really warm, so Daisy hung out waterside..
and I hung out on a log, cross legged, in my own Zen space….(taking a “selfie” likely doesn’t fit that description)…Daisy never complained the entire time…she was the perfect companion. Just thought I’d appreciate her publicly!
Later in the day, Alice showed Frank, RIchard and I her fabulous dahlias. The evening light and the view were also fabulous.

Sewing “Little Dresses for Africa” today, helping to clothe children in desperate need. Such a great group of women came today , including members of “Grannies for Africa”…part of the Stephen Lewis initiative to help the grandmothers in Africa who are raising their grandchildren after their own adult children have died from AIDS and left these parentless children…The “Grannies..” group fundraises for these grandmothers in Africa.
We heard from Mark and Jennifer, saw their photos. This amazing couple stopped working for 2 years to do extraordinary things for the villagers of Bondo, Kenya. While previously home briefly for their son’s wedding, they had picked up the dresses made up at that time, and delivered them to Bondo. Today, back after their long volunteering, they showed us the photos while explaining all that they had accomplished, the frustrations, the needless deaths, the joys…Really made all of us sewers more committed than ever to this easy to accomplish little effort we put in. Bring on the fabric!

Still enjoying the blossoms from my gardens…plant it and it will grow…usually. I learned a lot about salt and wind and their effect on plants since I’ve been gardening here…so pleased with the “final” result though…
Birthday celebration at Richard’s, and he too is enjoying his “garden”…I notice these things, the little things.. Fun time over pizza and wine…
