The tulips have turned orange…a geranium red really…not the colour they first were. So interesting to watch them change. My tulips outside have still not opened, but we do have one daffodil now. Progress. The sun shone, the daffodil bloomed. Indoors there are tulips and geraniums…much more colourful inside at present!

“Look ma, no hands!”…well, no crutches. I’m walking around gingerly in my studio, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still use my “wheel chair” but less often. Working on ” the man’s” quilt, two panels done, one more to go, then the back, and then the quilting….The pattern really does allow freedom, to make the curves, and the placement of the colours as desired. And of course I take liberties where I find them.
I was sewing all day on this grey Saturday, and didn’t take a photo. ( I could have, but didn’t). Then I wondered, what was this day like last year? Since my photos are dated, I had to go back to 2011 to get a photo on this exact day, May 24th! and look at this!!! I think we’re about two months behind to be at this point. Just shows you, each year is different, but some differences are better differences than other differences, or should we just accept the different differences?
Scrabble at Ria’s. Alice brought her new to her, dog Henry. Another time it could be Elsie bringing her dog, or now dogs, or us enjoying the company of Dee’s Molly. Others have cats..the minority of us, sadly I’m included now, have no pets. Pets are such a comfort, offer such unconditional love.
