Spent the day with the expanding family…but it was so different with Forest at school! Five days a week, and all day. Something is wrong when 5 year olds have to be in school that long. What ever happened to half day kindergarten? My rant for the day.

Jockel’s parents have been visiting for awhile from Germany. We took on the delightful task of showing them Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Blue Rocks, Stonehurst and Chester, on a fabulous day! It always makes you love Nova Scotia more when you are showing it off. And always terrific when the viewers love the views..
A bag for a fundraiser..fun to work on something so different for me. The fabric was given to each person donating to this fundraiser, so also fun to work on colours that I don’t typically use. It was a nice memory of when Susan and Lis were both around, and we traced a bag of mine to create the pattern. Ahh..that was in July, which seems so long ago now. Summer is winding down fast…
On a nature and whale watching cruise, thanks to our amazing neighbours Hans and Mariolina, who just wanted to spoil their friends and neighbours. And they did. Here I’m gazing out to sea with a crew member telling me he’s sorry there are no whales spotted today. I was in such bliss at the scenery..all blue water and sky, a few seals and Gannets…. all magical. The weather was to have been awful and it was instead spectacular. Could not have had a finer time.
