I saw a painting by Jack Bush, one of Canada’s first Abstract painters, in the newspaper (Globe and Mail)  a week or so ago. This is a quilt I made of that painting. The painting, from 1966, is titled “Tall Spread”. I used the curvy lines of Bush’s painting, and tried to imitate his brush strokes through stitch work. I really like the piece…I found almost exact colour matches. Mine is about 20″ x 44″…and we have absolutely no where to hang it at present. Time to do a shuffle…
