It’s going to be a different world for this family of four, next year! as in, tomorrow.
Happy New Year!
A year in Days – my photo journal
You can’t appreciate this if you didn’t see the “before” version, but..
..this large room in the basement was unusable except by Will, who continued to make art in a chaotic space shared with storage, boxes..whatever didn’t have a specific place to belong in.
After 9 hours of intense work..organizational skills and decorating skills in full use, and delegating to “Good Will” negogiatons undertaken. .the three adults were thrilled. Will can get back to making art tomorrow, the boys can play when they won’t disturb him, Jen or I can sneak down to stretch out on the bed, instruments can be played. Tomorrow another day, another room. Getting organized to create space and effeciency before a new arrival arrives. Forest asked me why I love organizing so much..don’t know, always have, probably one of my best skill sets.
The he view from the place we’ve been renting for the last four days ..
A close up up of the distant view which is there at the top of the first photo..really stunning from the house windows..this about 7:30a.m…
..this about 5p.m. Looking out at Blomidon, always impressive. The holidays had this as an added perk, but tomorrow it ends.
Jockel in in his new safety vest, from Tisha..
Will also attired by Tisha..she’s a great long distance “dresser”..
The boys trying out the boards that Frank made for them! Success all around. He worked so hard on these for weeks..
Jen holding up the baby quilt I made for her, using squares that Judy had made years back..so fitting in all ways.
Connecting with Ryan and Tori..love that we had all the family with us over the course of the day..
Christmas Eve, and Drea is quickly making Christmas stockings out of a large paper bag, as they were left behind! and Frank still working out the crossword, a two pager, and a very pregnant Jen coping with just that!
Noah is completely fixated on Frank, only wanting to be with him, or in his arms..so sweet.
Asa’s third birthday in the digital age…here talking to his Aunt Tisha, cousins Caleigh, Maya and Finn, all in L.A. ..who sweetly sang to Asa..
Birthday cake, special request of, get this, a high impact hammer..request created, after looking it up, on line, of course.
Talking to Nonnie ( grandma) and Aunt Catherine in New Zealand, who also sang to Asa..what a day!
So naturally Noah knows all about cell phones, though he picked up my camera to call his papa..So special to spend birthdays and holidays with “little people”…and enjoy this digital age.
At Jen and Will’s…Frank enjoying doing the Globe and Mail Holiday Crossword…in front of him hang the 24 Advent bags ..only a few days left now.
The top of the tree is a paper star, which Frank and I helped the kids make when we were last here, and modelled after a star that Brenda made for me…love that kind of “flow”…
