As tomorrow is April 1st, despite what happens with the weather, I WILL NOT take any more photos of snow or ice. This is the last one. The ice is thinning over the inlet near us. This stretch of ocean is my “marker”… soon the heron will reappear, and the pheasants will do their wild dashes, and the eagles will soar. Oh-oh, I’m getting carried away here! It’s all the excitement of spring around the bend.

It was a stunning day…so sunny, warm. We had 20 cm. of snow that needed to be shovelled, and definitely required a supervisor.
Noah also helped by clasping snow between his thumbless mitts ( who invented those?), which he deposited on any available shovel. He loved being outside…Meanwhile his dad was surfing. Snow, water…almost the same thing.
Noah wanted to surf the snow piles. Shown here practicing his form..

The first of four children’s chairs that Frank has finished making…after all, he loves to build.
Really a thing of beauty, to my eyes. A child can start sitting here at 18 months or so, and just move up (down, actually…both the seat and foot rest move)…till 6 or so…Very functional, and an elegant design, but made for far less money than importing this product would have cost. Lucky boys.
