I’ve been spending a lot of time in my studio lately, working on a quilt, and now the art quilt, taking Zoom calls here, but, meanwhile, my painting area awaits me. Here I have a painting by a fellow artist, where I am in the painting, one leg raised, caught in the act of doing a sketch of the model. To the right of that painting, is a photo of me, one leg raised, doing a water colour years ago in Lemonville. Clearly my pose. Then on the left is a drawing of me by my oldest grand daughter, when she was 5, and then there is the mirror, which a friend made for me out of my own jewelry. So even when I haven’t yet used this particular area, just looking at it makes me feel calm and befriended and loved. No wonder I take my calls here.
Oh, I remember Lemonville. Those painting sessions with Claudia every Wednesday. Wonderful memories, and yes, I’ve seen you paint like that often.
